Through the connections of our favorite "Dad" (Pieter) we met up with Mike Kok from Allego to discuss marketing ideas and possible cooperation with Allego. Him and some other Allego workers loved the scooter and the idea. Mike gave us some great ideas and direction on what we need to work on. We are creating a proper marketing plan and dusting up the business plan right now.
Next we met with our engineer to see what he has been working on, followed up by a few beers "to bond a little".
Hoping to Launch scooters by the start of next month.

Trip to Amsterdam & visit to Dott

Your boys reached out to hundreds of e-scooter sharing companies for some sweet knowledge, but only one have replied - the real MVP - Maxim Romain, CEO of Dott.
We got ourselves together after camping in the forest, took our scootits and headed to Amsterdam. Meeting Maxim was a great experience, he seemed chill and helped us out in any way possible. I also took an interview with him for my YouTube channel - TNRI (please subscribe and like).
We can see opportunities of working with Dott in the future, whereas, out trip to Bird office ended up with no results :(
In the end of that day, we got picked up by our friends and ate some delicious Pakistani BBQ (yum!). What I've learned is to keep trying and not letting downfalls stop you.

XOXO- Chingiskhan

Even though we have just got back to uni we have a week off for Kings day. nice! This means we have created many plans for scootit and we have a lot of time to work on them. Slowly but surely we are getting there. Everyday we are contacting new people and getting new ideas and connections. I think this week we will really start to get some recognition and i'm excited.

For now I'm gonna enjoy kings day and after that its time to work hard.

p.s our engineer has designed our prototype charging station and we are ready to build it in the upcoming weeks.

To begin with, now we have people who joined our team, since me and Max do not have much knowledge in engineering. We have decided to start with building a simple prototype that can be presented to the people but not advanced enough to be sold yet. We are getting help from the Industrial Design course students, and we are discussing plans with IT and electrical engineers.

After celebrating Chingiskhans birthday until 6am we arranged a meeting with Pieter Sonneveld from Dirkzwager at 9am. It was a difficult task to get there after 1 hour sleep but it was worth it in the end as we have been discussing some different places to test out our Scooter system in a closed environment; Veleuwe park and Papendal. We think these are both great places to start as you need to get around quite a large area and there are relatively good roads. They are also both in a closed environment meaning it is less viable to theft or vandalism. All in all a good trip to both locations and it was fun to hear some of Pieters ideas and stories.

P.s
We contacted the Mayor he replied surprisingly quickly and hopefully we can set up a meeting to discuss possibilities for Arnhem.

Search for the right engineers

As I have been returning home today, I thought: "Wouldn't it be nice to blog our project?" Therefore, I will start doing that from today (10.04.2019) and if you want to know the story before today, you will probably find it somewhere else (or just contact us).
Today, we went to find any engineers who could make us a prototype charging station, so we went to HAN Engineering building. Luckily, there was a career fair going on there where students were looking for companies and vise versa. At first, we skipped passed it because we were looking for a lecturer who was recommended to us in order to help with our issue. After long search, we found him, and he told us that it will be available only in September and needs to be an official part of study for the second year students.
We did not give up and rushed to the fair to find anyone who could help us. Who knew that there are many types of engineers and not all of them suit us (e.g.: mechanical engineers, industrial designers, project managers, etc.). Nevertheless, by talking to a bunch of students, we have found the people interested, so we are looking forward what comes from that later on.
